Did you know a Stanford study concluded that 20% of American meals are enjoyed in the car? And since Chick-fil-A nuggets are 100% better with sauce you’re going to LOVE the three guys behind the ingenious invention known as the Saucemoto Dip Clip. In their first-ever podcast interview the three friends from Cleveland talk about their inspiration for the Saucemoto, and how they managed to strike a deal with Mr. Wonderful on Shark Tank.
3 Friends Invent Genius Gizmo
Tony Lahood, Will Moujaes, and Mike Koury say they were on a bro-trip when a fast-food trip turned messy. One of the guys spilled sauce in Tony’s car. The spill led them to start thinking about the in-car sauce struggle. They brainstormed and came up with 4 or 5 ideas. They didn’t do anything with it for a few years, but when Mike and Tony got a 3D printer they got to work. The first prototype only fit square sauces from McDonald’s. Friends loved the idea and the guys realized they might have something special on their hands. But the real hero is their cousin Christina who insisted the Saucemoto must fit Chick-fil-A sauces. After many late-night design sessions, they came up with the version that fit all fast food sauces.
What is a Saucemoto?
The Saucemoto dip clip is a fast-food sauce holder designed to fit just about any type of vehicle’s vent. You can use it in the front seats, or in the back seats to keep your kids from making a mess. As long as there is a vent to clip to, Saucemoto will work perfectly. The Saucemoto dip clip can securely fit the four most commonly used sizes and shapes of sauce containers from McDonald’s, Burger King, Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s, KFC, Dairy Queen, Jack in the Box, Arby’s, Popeye’s, Sonic, Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s, and Heinz. Here’s how it works for Chick-fil-A sauces:

Shark Tank Investors Impressed by Sauce Moto Creators
My Pleasure podcast hosts Alison and Jim love the Saucemoto, but would millionaire and billionaire investors on the hit show Shark Tank grasp the concept? This was a real concern for Tony, Will, and Mike. Their pitch appeared on season 10, episode 22. They spent hours and hours preparing for their Shark Tank appearance. They knew they needed to know the answer to every question the Sharks could ask. And they nailed it. Their episode aired and Kevin O’Leary offered $45,000 for a 25% equity share. The guys explained what it was like to appear on the show and negotiate with Mr. Wonderful.
What’s Next for Saucemoto?
Tony, Will, and Mike say they sold out of Saucemotos three weeks after their Shark Tank appearance. But don’t worry– they’re back in stock! Now they are spending time packing orders, marketing their product, and developing new ones. They wouldn’t divulge what their new product is, but they said it will continue to serve their mission of making in-car eating easier.
