It’s Christmas in July on the podcast! This week we’re welcoming Daniel Pandolph (aka Panda.) Panda is one of the hosts of the popular Deck the Hallmark podcast. They’ve been featured on Good Morning America, The Oprah Magazine, and now, My Pleasure: The Unofficial Chick-fil-A Podcast!
Christmas may be six months away, but it’s always top-of-mind for the hosts of Deck the Hallmark. The guys have watched and reviewed around 200 Hallmark Christmas movies since launching just two years ago. Every podcast episode starts with a quick explanation of where they stand on the topic. Bran LOVES Hallmark Christmas movies, Dan DETESTS Hallmark Christmas movies, and Panda LIKES Hallmark Christmas movies. While he may be lukewarm about cheesy holiday flicks, we discovered he is extremely passionate about Chick-fil-A.
Panda distinctly remembers the first time he tasted Chick-fil-A waffle fries, and says his life was forever changed. He has around 65,000 lifetime points on his Chick-fil-A One App. He recently won a contest at his local Chick-fil-A to eat there more than anyone else over the course of a month. The contest awarded him free Chick-fil-A for a year, but he says he probably spent more money securing victory than the prize was actually worth.
Because of his deep passion for Chick-fil-A, he crowned himself ‘King Chikin’. It’s a nickname he wears proudly. He says he’s also working to pass his love for Chick-fil-A on to his daughter. He taught her how to use a spoon at Chick-fil-A and they attended a daddy daughter date night together at their local CFA location.
Panda says he’s watched around 200 Hallmark Christmas movies so that he can talk about them on the Deck the Hallmark podcast. He often eats Chick-fil-A while watching the movies. And probably not surprising, the seasonal peppermint milkshake is his favorite Chick-fil-A menu item.
