Episode #32: A Corona Wedding with a Chick-fil-A Twist
COVID can’t stop love—at least not for these newlyweds who say it all started with a chance meeting at Chick-fil-A. Tens of thousands of couples had to cancel or postpone their weddings because of the Corona Virus. But many chose to press on despite the pandemic. Two of those determined to tie the knot are Kate and Artis. They were married in September, but say it all started with a chance meeting at Chick-fil-A.
They were college students at the University of Central Florida, walking with friends who stopped to chat outside the campus Chick-fil-A. Kate was in a relationship at the time and didn’t think much of Artis. But after graduation she moved to Orlando and recalled that Artis lived there, too. She reached out hoping for some help finding a place to live. They began to spend more and more time together and eventually decided to take their commitment to the next level.
Worried the pandemic would force them to postpone indefinitely they decided to just take the plunge and plan a Corona wedding. They even went back to the place where it all began with that chance meeting– Chick-fil-A. They posed for photos in the exact spot where their story started in 2011. We tested their compatibility in a round of “The Nuggy-Wed Game” where they both answered questions about the other’s Chick-fil-A choices, including their favorite sauces, typical order, and whether they would ever dress up like a cow to get free chicken. Listen to the full episode to see if this sweet couple really does have the special sauce!

Episode #2: Love Birds’ Romance Blossoms Over Chicken Sandwiches
From their first date to their wedding day, Chick-fil-A played an important part in Olivia and Phillip’s relationship. They actually met through friends at Chick-fil-A and on their first date, Olivia and Phillip spent four hours at Chick-fil-A! After that their relationship took off. They had most of their dates at Chick-fil-A. Phillip says he racked up a lot of points on his Chick-fil-A app, which is how he reached Red Level. They even had their rehearsal dinner catered by Chick-fil-A and they went through the drive-thru on their wedding day!
Now that they’re married they still eat Chick-fil-A six days a week. “Everybody looks at us like we’re the Chick-fil-A couple,” says Phillip. They say they spend about $280 a month at Chick-fil-A. Ironically Olivia says she has applied to work there twice and she’s been turned down both times. Now she’s a nurse and there is a Chick-fil-A at the hospital where she works.
