We’re Baaaaack! Your favorite Chick-fil-A fan podcast hosts Alison Storm and Jim Mann are back for another season of My Pleasure: The Unofficial Chick-fil-A Podcast. After releasing 40 episodes full of chat, laughs and chicken in season 1, Alison and Jim are ready to give you a second helping! Our first episode is dedicated to saying goodbye to the Chickfila bagel, which was removed from the menu April 26th. Alison and Jim are taking podcast listeners on a trip through the Chickfila drive thru with them as they order the Sunflower Multigrain Bagel for the final time. It was especially heartbreaking for Corban Garcia, the Texas teen who celebrated achieving red status by flying to Atlanta to take a tour of the Chickfila motherland, a story we shared in season 1.
Changes to Chickfila Menu
According to the Chicken Wire, Chickfila’s official announcement, the bagel removal is making room for more seasonal and limited-time items throughout the year. There are some other menu changes happening. In addition to saying goodbye to the bagel, these sizes will be consolidated:
- Chick-fil-A® Nuggets Kid’s Meal (will only offer a 5-count, grilled or regular)
- Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Strips® Kid’s Meal (will only offer a 2-count)
- Icedream® Cup (will only offer a single size)
- Hot Coffee (will only offer a 12-ounce cup)
Milkshakes are Now Only Offered in One Size
For Alison, the big change is that there will no longer be a small and large option for milkshakes, iced coffees and frosted beverages. They will all be served in 16-ounce cup. In case you don’t know what that means…. No LARGE MILKSHAKES! Sixteen ounce is the small. Before you could opt for a 20 ounce milkshake when you needed that extra boost of sugary goodness. Or maybe you were like Alison, and enjoyed ordering the small because it made you feel healthier knowing you chose the smaller option.
Goodbye Chickfila Bagel, Hello Salad
Since we always like to focus on the positive around here, we also have some good news. We may be losing the Chickfila bagel, but we’re gaining a salad. The Lemon Kale Caesar Salad is the first new salad entree on menus nationwide since 2016. It features warm grilled nuggets on a bed of romaine and kale, shaved parmesan cheese, lemon wedges, and is served with a Lemon Caesar Vinaigrette dressing and Lemon Parmesan Panko topping. It received positive customer feedback when it was tested in select markets in L.A., Virginia, and Kentucky.
