Busy weeknights often culminate with this question, “what’s for dinner??” And of course, Chick-fil-A’s number one combo is always a great option, but if you want family mealtime to feel a little more homemade, Chick-fil-A recently launched the perfect solution: meal kits!
The Launch of Chick-fil-A Meal Kits
Chick-fil-A’s meal kits launched back in the spring. The kits feature pre-measured and pre-cooked ingredients for a meal that can be made in less than 30 minutes. Kits start at $14.99 and serve two adults. They come with two seasoned, breaded, and pressure-cooked chicken fillets, marinara sauce, Italian-style cheeses, and creamy garlic and lemon pasta.
Erika Carder is an expert on Chick-fil-A’s meal kits. Her husband is part of the Leadership Development Program, or LDP, for Chick-fil-A.
What’s the Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program?
Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development Program is an immersive leadership development for college grads. The program is developed to help graduates prepare for a career with the company. Erika says her husband’s job is to help open new restaurants and transition restaurants from one operator to the next. She writes about the experience on her blog at ErikaJmsCarder.com. Erika and her husband hope to one day own their own Chick-fil-A franchise.
Earlier this year they sold most of their belongings and packed up the rest so they could hit the road, traveling to various Chick-fil-A locations. So far Erika and her husband have been assigned to Chick-fil-A locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Erika says her devotion to Chick-fil-A is pretty ironic considering at the age of 16 she ripped up a Chick-fil-A job application in front of her dad, announcing she’d never work in fast food. Erika and her husband will be on the road with Chick-fil-A until February of 2022.
Testing Chick-fil-A Meal Kits
Two years ago Erika was working at the Peachtree City Chick-fil-A, one of the test markets for the original meal kit. Before anyone else in the country got to experience meal kits, Erika was eating them regularly. She says there were several other flavors in production:
- Buffalo Chicken Flatbread: Erika says this is to die for!
- Chicken Enchiladas
- Dijon Chicken
- Pan Roasted Chicken
Ordering the Chicken Parmesan Meal Kit
But for now, the only meal kit available nationwide is the Chicken Parmesan. According to The Chicken Wire, you can order the kit at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants in the drive-thru, via the Chick-fil-A App, or through one of Chick-fil-A’s delivery partners, including DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. Have you tried to the Chicken Parmesan Meal Kit?? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
