This might just be the most uplifting combo ever: puppies and the Lord’s chicken. Meet the world’s first batch of Chick-fil-A puppies.
In all, there are 11 puppies from this litter of Sheep-a-doodles, all named after Chick-fil-A. And if you’re looking for some joy and happiness, it doesn’t get any better than this!
Meet the Chick-fil-A Cow Puppies
There are 3 boys and 8 girls. The boys are Truett, Small Fry, and Chunk (after the cookie, of course!) The girls are Cathy, Nugget, Polly, Waffle, Pickles, Dream, Sunday and Georgia. The fans of My Pleasure: The Unofficial Chick-fil-A Podcast helped come up with the puppies’ names on social media back in May.
Puppies Taking Over Chick-fil-A
The Chick-fil-A Laurens Road location in Greenville, South Carolina kindly let these puppies take over for a while so photographer Audrey Lovetro could capture these adorable images. Of course, many Chick-fil-A dining rooms remain closed to stop the spread of COVID-19, so the puppies were thrilled to have the run of the place. They even got to check out the play area! Some of the puppies even modeled pet bandanas from our fan shop!
Puppies On a Mission
The puppies are from Doodles Making a Difference, a South Carolina-based breeder. Not only are they completely committed to ethical breeding, but they’re also using these puppies to change the world. The purchase of each puppy pays for the complete care of a child rescued from slavery in India for six months through Set Free. As of January 2020 Set Free has helped rescue 30,000 children from slavery, half of those have been reunited with their families. Just last year they rescued nearly 7,000 children. Christian Peoples, the owner of Doodles Making a Difference, talked more on our podcast about Set Free and why she feels so strongly about using her business to help children in India:
What Are Sheepadoodles?
These puppies are Sheepadoodles, which is a cross between an Old English Sheepdog and a Poodle. Sheepadoodles are calm, friendly, quiet and good-natured dogs. Sheepadoodles are easier to train than Old English Sheepdogs due to the trainable temperament of the Poodle. And we think they look a lot like cow puppies, don’t you agree?
How to Own a Sheepadoodle
All 11 Chick-fil-A puppies will soon be heading to their forever homes. They have all been adopted! However if you’d like more information about owning one of these puppies on a mission, check out Doodles Making a Difference.
