DON’T PANIC: Chick-fil-A Announces Sauce Shortage

While gas stations across the east coast are feeling the pinch from a pipeline shut down, it’s another shortage that’s causing a Chick-fil-frenzy: a sauce shortage! It started with a short, two sentence memo on the Chickfila corporate website at the beginning of the month:

Due to industrywide supply chain shortages, some items, like sauces, may be unavailable. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

The same sauce shortage notice appears on the Chickfila app when you order food. Normally limited to two sauce choices, customers are now reduced to just one sauce packet per item.

Some enterprising Chick-fil-A fans were using this as an opportunity to earn some extra cash:

Others were admitting that they’ll be just fine thanks to the sauce stockpile they’ve been adding to for years!

And some feel like this is just the latest (and most painful) shortage we’ve encountered since the pandemic began last year.
