Do you love Chickfila enough to get a logo tattoo? Ed Demers has more tattoos than he can count, but the one on his right hand is a constant reminder of his favorite Chickfila meal: the Original Chicken Sandwich.
Ed’s Chickfila Tattoo
Ed’s Chickfila tattoo is a small red sandwich icon, just like you find on the bag your lunch comes in. He may get the spicy version on his left hand someday. Ed joined Alison and Jim on My Pleasure: The Unofficial Chickfila Podcast to talk about why he got the tattoo, what his friends have to say about it, and his thoughts on Subway’s recent tattoo promotion.
Subway Encourages Tattoos with Free Food
Ed loves Chickfila enough that he doesn’t expect anything in return for his tattoo. But sandwich franchise Subway recently encouraged tattoos with a promotion offering free food in exchange for this sign of devotion. Depending on the size and location of the tattoo, fans can earn:
- Subs for a month: 2″ x 2″ tattoo on wrist, bicep or foot
- Subs for a year: 3″ x 3″ tattoo on shoulder blade, forearm or calf
- Subs for life: “The Footlong,” a 12″ x 12″ tattoo on sternum or back
One of the people to earn free subs for life was a Colorado doctoral candidate who got a massive tattoo across his shoulder blades.
Not the First Chickfila Tattoo
We did a little digging and found other photos of super fan tattoos online.
