Two Colorado sisters love Chick-fil-A so much they wrote a book about it! Bored in quarantine, Sarah and Rachel Scott got creative and worked together to write and illustrate a cute Chick-fil-A children’s book. Millions of people have listened to The Adventures of Nugget and Fry on Facebook. And now we’re sharing these sweet siblings with you on this week’s episode of My Pleasure: The Unofficial Chick-fil-A Podcast.
Sarah Scott wrote the story and her sister Rachel illustrated The Adventures of Nugget and Fry. It’s about a daring nugget who decides to go rogue, jumping out of his box and freeing his friend Fry. They plan an escape, only to be thwarted by a kid heading to the play place. You may never look at a chicken nugget the same again!
The sisters say this was a wonderful highlight of quarantine-life and gave them a positive project to work on together. Right now they have only given copies to family members, but they’d love to see it published. They hinted at plans for more books in the series.
Rachel, a senior in high school will be attending community college in the fall with plans of studying art. She shared with Alison and Jim about what it’s been like to be part of the Class of 2020 during COVID-19. We also gave the sisters a final exam in Trick-fil-A Trivia! (You can play along on our Instagram page’s Trivia Highlights.) We also sent the sisters home with matching pairs of Waffle Fry Earrings, which you can pick up in our fan shop!
Quarantine has definitely provided an opportunity for all of us to pick up new hobbies, work on dream projects and set fresh goals. Great job to these sisters for focusing on what they CAN do during this time, rather than focusing on what they can’t. Way to go Sarah and Rachel!
